Isn't it wonderful what people throw out and you can find discarded on the side of the road? I honestly have no shame when it comes to picking up and appreciating what other people no longer need. And that's how I ended up with the book "The Voice of Knowledge" by Don Miguel Ruiz.
This book has many interesting themes in it, and one exercise that the book recommends has been really helpful. The exercise is basically to live in truth; whenever we have a thought, evaluate whether that thought is true or not. I find this easier than meditating - watching my thoughts because it doesn't have any expectations associated with it - that I will find inner peace, zen or that the voice of thought will go away. However, I did notice that these were the outcomes of this particular exercise.

My First entry!
I feel that the best way to start off this blog is to create a brief intention for it's creation:
This blog is intended to be a space for self healing through sharing some of my own personal experiences as well as a place where I can detail my progress in following my personal spiritual path.
